Where I came from/ How I came to the Shelter: You may have already heard about me but didn’t know who I was. A few months ago I was left tied to the mailbox at the Arf Ranch. They don’t know where I came from or who left me tied there, but what they do know is that I was terrified of other dogs and people. I was scared because I had lost whatever home I used to have and even more scared that I might not have a future.
My Story: I didn’t know it at the time, but finding my way to the Arf Ranch is actually the best thing that ever happened to me. Now, I am beginning to trust people again and I am learning quickly what love is all about. Now, I am looking for a loving home and someone who will be kind and sensitive until I grow a little more security and confidence. It will naturally come, but it will a lot easier and quicker if my new owner/s are gentle folks that will take the time to earn my trust and love. One way that I bond with new people is by going on a walk. I actually walk very well on a leash and I am always eager to go for a long, or short walk! Even though I am not a puppy that will bound into your arms at first glance, I am a dog with a heart and I want to be loved and feel like I belong to a family.
Even though you can’t really tell it from the picture, I am actually a smaller dog, weighing only about 35 pounds.
