It's a Miracle! Man survives nail accidentally shot into his brain! This is a wild one! An Illinois contractor thought a 3 1/4 inch nail whizzed harmlessly past his head while he was working with his nail gun. The man felt a slight headache but continued to work through the pain. A week later, the man's wife insisted that he go to the doctor because of the persistant headaches. When he got to the doctor, they sent him to the hospital where they found the nail in his brain! Doctors were able to successfully remove the nail from the man's head and he's expected to make a full recovery. It's a good thing he'll make a full recovery because he'll need that job to pay the hospital bill he's gonna get! Obviously that guy is here for a reason! You can read the full story HERE.
Teaching Our Daughters The Difference Between Boys vs. Men
We need to teach our daughters the difference between:
A boy who flatters her
And a man who compliments her
A boy who spends money on her
And a man who invests in her
A boy who views her as property
And a man who views her properly
A boy who lusts after her
And a man who loves her
A boy who believes he’s God’s gift to women
And a man who remembers woman was God’s gift to man
And then teach our sons
To be a man
Escaped Mule Still On The Loose In BentoniaOnly in Jackson Mississippi will you find a story about an escaped mule on the front page of the newspaper. Apparently there’s a mule on the loose in Bentonia named “Flying Wind.” The story is that Flying Wind is a survivor of a horrible situation uncovered last month where he was in a pen with 20 other starving horses. Four of the horses were dead and the rest were extremely emaciated. When they tried to round up Flying Wind, he jumped the fence of the pen and took off. He’s still on the lamb. Flying Wind’s neighbors have been trying to catch him with no luck for the last few weeks. They all say he’s hilarious.

What Kind Of A Year Has It Been For Ole Miss? (Don't get mad -- this is funny)
You might be a redneck if:
-- It never occurred to you to be offended by the phrase, 'One nation, under God..'
-- You've never protested about seeing the 10 Commandments posted in public places.
-- You still say ' Christmas' instead of 'Winter Festival.'
-- You bow your head when someone prays.
-- You stand and place your hand over your heart when they play the National Anthem.
-- You treat our armed forces and veterans with great respect, and always have.
-- You've never burned an American flag, nor intend to.
-- You know what you believe and you aren't afraid to say so, no matter who is listening.
-- You respect your elders and raised your kids to do the same.
-- You'd give your last dollar to a friend.
-- You believe in God & Jesus and believe that others have the right to believe in which ever God they believe in as long as their God does not tell them to kill anyone who does not believe the same as they do!
Another amazing email I received from Quay Terrell yesterday...
Dear Scott,
I tried to call you this morning on the air to share a story with you that I thought people might could relate with this last week. I myself struggled to wonder where God was in all of this tragedy and my 3 year old reminded me so beautifully that the was right here all the time.
My daughter Grace was running errands with my mother and myself the other day. I had to run into the post office to mail something and while I was gone my daughter asked my mom to open the sun roof. When asked why she wanted it open, she replied " God needed a way in" she proceeded to grab him and buckle him up in between she and her baby sister. We proceeded to Toys R Us where she unbuckled him and walked hand in hand as if he where right here with her throughout the store. At the check out she politely asked him to wait as she paid for her toys. The cash register woman just got tears in her eyes.
We came home and she proceeded to play all afternoon with God. After nap, she said she couldn't find him. I told her to check her bed. she came running out saying " He was right there beside me the whole time, I just didn't see him cause I was busy with my baby." Out of the mouth of someone so young, we often to overlook God cause of all of life's tasks.
The next day We went to Bible study and once again she walked hand in hand into the church. After a few minutes I noticed she wasn't holding hands with her friend God. I asked her where he was and she said "DUH, this is his house, he is in there (pointing to the sanctuary)."
I can continue on and on about the recent stories between she and God. It has reminded me this week though that God is very near, we only have to see him with our minds eyes. I am thankful for the witness of my little girl this week, and maybe you can share this story on the air and remind others he his near.
Here's an email I received from Ken Wilbanks, who lost his son in a tragic car wreck in November. I hope you'll watch the incredible video that brings pictures to his story.Scott,
Ken Wilbanks here. Thanks SO MUCH for the love shown Lynn and I by you and your family during this time! Y'alls thoughts and prayers are VERY MUCH appreciated!
I'm pretty sure I told you that our middle son, Jamison, is on the basketball team at Madison Central. Being a sophomore, he will play Junior Varsity this season. The Jaguars had their first game of the season this past Saturday night. Jamison told us earlier in the week he would not be playing -- since this was a varsity game -- but that he still wanted to go to the game. I told him "sure," and not to be discouraged because most sophomores start out on the JV team. Anyway, I'm guessing after practice Friday, Coach Lockhart gave him his Jaguar-orange warm-up suit and told him he would be dressing for the varsity game. Jamison didn't tell us of this -- and kept it a surprise until his buddy Chase Carroll showed up at our house decked out in his Jaguar-orange warm-ups. Chase took Jamison to get some new basketball "sneakers," since the ones they will be wearing at MC this season have not arrived yet.
We played Germantown late Saturday night. Madison Central finally built a comfortable lead, and Coach Lockhart began putting some of the JV guys in the game. Jamison's buddies from school began chanting, "Jamo (Jay-mo)! Jamo! Jamo!" Coach Lockhart points and tells Jamison to check into the game. Marty Millstead, Dad of Jamison's teammate, Chandler Millstead, pulled his video camera back out. And what transpired was so awesome that I just had to share:
(I'm the guy in the orange shirt sitting there balling -- :-) -- tears of joy. Mason never made the basketball team at Madison Central)...
Thanks to my friend Mike Raffield for sharing this photo he took yesterday in Madison. It just so happened that this picture is a little more profound than it appears. Yesterday was an incredibly tragic day in the city of Madison as three young men lost their life in a traffic accident. Sam Clayton Kelly, 18, Walker Kelly, 19, and Mason Wilbanks, 19. The boys were on their way back to Ole Miss to attend church with their Kappa Alpha fraternity brothers when the accident occured. I've known Sam Clayton's family for about 10 years now and have had the honor of watching Sam Clayton grow up. If there's one thing we can trust through the tragedy is that God knows what he's doing. He doesn't call us to ask why, he calls us to be faithful. Out of the tragedy, I heard a report this morning that 50 KA brothers gave their life to Christ last night during a memorial service in Oxford.Madison Waitress Gets $1,000 Tip!
A customer at Vasillio's greek restaurant on Hwy 51 in Madison left a $1,000 tip on a $31 meal yesterday (10/24). The man said the tip was not a mistake and that he wanted it to be a surprise.Notice the Bible verse he wrote on the credit card slip? Jeremiah 29:11 says "{C}{C}{C}{C}{C}{C}{C}{C}{C}{C}{C}{C}{C}{C}{C}{C}“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” That’s awesome.
We may not all be able to tip a waitress $1,000 but we can all make a difference in someone’s life in our own way. What are you doing to make a difference today??This is brilliant. There should be more people in the world like this.

This is funny! Just put my name in and it came back "Skip Chesney."

After having a few days to digest what happened during our 18 year old daughter’s car wreck on Friday, we can plainly see that 8 angels that we can attach human faces to descended upon impact. Madison police officer Jamie Brooks who lost his dad in a tragic motorcycle accident a few months ago was the first person to put his hands on my daughter. Our neighbor Dee Self was angel # 2 who rushed to Brittany as soon as she was hit. She had the presence of mind to call our neighbor Jennifer Tickner (Angel # 3) to come be with my wife, who was angel # 4. Her calm, cool, collected response was brilliant in dealing with the entire situation. The doctor who just happened to be behind Brittany coming out of our neighborhood was able to immediately care for Brittany. Angel # 5. The police officer who sent Dan Robinson a text to let me know that they cut Brittany’s battery cables to avoid further injury was angel # 6. Dan Robinson for being here to keep me calm was angel #7, Nancy Fletcher our sales manager here at the radio station was angel # 8. She turned her car around after almost being at work to go be with Brittany. You’ve heard the song Angels Among Us, I’ve always believed that, but never really SEEN that until Friday. To be able to see angels in human form is a pretty powerful sight. So I just wanted to say a very public thank you from our entire family for the phone calls, emails, text messages, facebook posts, messages, hugs, visits, absolutely amazing.I'm sure you've heard of "planking" by now...I guess this will be the next big thing. "Batmaning." Pretty funny...
