I had a great conversation this weekend with Roger Davis. He’s an amazing dad who is doing a great job of leading and supporting his family. His 12 year old daughter Grace made a big splash with her performance of our national anthem at an Ole Miss basketball game back in January.
I talked to Roger over the weekend about what Grace is doing now. She and their entire family are in California exploring different projects for Grace and her 10 year old brother. She’s recorded some demo songs for big time producers in Hollywood. She and her brother have also secured a couple of acting roles in feature and independent films.
Roger’s company encouraged him to make some contacts in California while he helped BOTH of his kids find development deals in singing and acting. So the whole family is living in an apartment in L.A. through at least October to see what happens.
What a great example for all of us on how we should lead our family! I just thought it was a beautiful expression of how we need to take advantage of every opportunity God presents to us. I hope I can help my kids realize their gifts in the way that Roger is visibly reinforcing in his kids. Way to go Roger! Way to go Davis family!
