Congratulations to Mallory Mashburn of Clinton, MS for setting a World Record! Thanks to Woods, Wheels & Water Outdoors, Mallory was able to set a Grand Slam Turkey Hunt World Record! In order to accomplish this record, you have to harvest four species of turkey. According to Chris Patton of Woods, Wheels & Water Outdoors, this record has never been set – even by a grown man, let alone a 12 year old girl. The most amazing part of the story is Mallory! Due to the challenges that she’s been presented with in her life, she was able to rise to yet another challenge to set this incredible record!
Mallory took all four of these birds in 51 days to complete her grand slam. According to WWWO, all hunts were on private land. Here are the species/dates where she set the record:
1. Osceola – Tampa, Fl March 12th
2. Rio Grand – Atkinson, Ne April 10th
3. Merriam – Atkinson, Ne April 11th
4. Easter – Savannah, Tn May 12th |
