Join the fun and help support a local soldier injured recently in a motorcycle wreck. A benefit ride for SMSgt James "Buckethead" Bennett is scheduled for Sat. Aug. 4th at 9am. The ride will go from the Clinton Welcome Center to Fat Mama's in Natchez for lunch, then returning back to Clinton. Please consider at least a $20 donation to help offset medical bills for James. SMSgt Bennett is a loadmaster with the Air National Guard's 183rd AES at Jackson Evers International Airport. He was involved in a serious motorcycle accident on the spillway. He remains in the ICU at UMMC in Jackson. Because SMSgt Bennett is not full-time military, he will not receive any military benefits to help offset his medical expense.
