Salvation Army Asking For Immediate Food Donations
The Salvation Army of Jackson is asking the public for immediate help in re-stocking our food pantries. The food resources for the Jackson office are depleted and the corps is in desperate need of the public’s help.
“The recent spike in grocery and gas prices has put already needy families at great risk for even the basics in life. Every day we are seeing an increase in those in our community who must have our assistance to put food on their table. We are asking for help from our generous community to stock our pantry shelves and give food to those who need it most,” said Captain Ken Chapman.
The greatest need is for non-perishable food especially peanut butter, pasta, canned vegetables, and canned meat. Items can be dropped off at the administration building located at
110 Presto Lane, Jackson, MS 39206.
