Brad Paisley took a nasty spill on stage this past Saturday night in Charleston, SC. Despite the nasty spill, he popped back up quickly, although he seemed disoriented. Here's the video...

Carrie Underwood, who is engaged to professional hockey player Mike Fisher of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators, admits that she didn’t know that the U.S. and Canadian Olympic hockey teams were playing each other on Feb. 21. “I honestly didn’t even realize that they were playing until my sister texted me and asked if [Mike and I] had a friendly wager going on,” Carrie tells Country Weekly. “I asked him [about a bet] and he said, ‘how about if the loser gives the winner a back rub?’” So what happened when the U.S. team beat Canada 5-3? “I got a nice little back rub,” Carrie says with a laugh. And if the two teams meet again in the Olympic tournament? “We’ll have to double down, I guess,” Carrie says. “Maybe dinner.”
Read more about Carrie’s music, her tour plans, and her wedding to Mike in the March 22 issue of Country Weekly, on sale March 15.
Big Kenny offers a moving tribute to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.
Jake Owen Suffers Head Injury Dude what happened? Jake Owen posted this picture of himself on Twitter. Jake wouldn't say what happened but he did comment "I put some super glue on it and walked off. You should see the other guy." Jake recently performed at the Dixie National Rodeo here in Jackson (minus the wound.)
Blake Addicted To Twitter
Speaking of Twitter, Blake Shelton admitted that he was "addicted" to Twitter for a while there. He says he even went as far as deleting the application off his phone for a couple of weeks to give himself a break.
On Saturday, before he hit the stage to perform for fans in Lafayette, Louisiana, Sammy Kershaw was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. Sammy shared, "I am very proud and very, very honored to receive this from my home state." He continued, "This induction is very special to me and I want to say a big thank you to all of my fans, the great people of Louisiana and to the LMHOF." Currently, Kershaw has finished a new album set hit stores in May and has released the debut single from that project, "Better Than I Used To Be."
Making the trek from Nashville, Tennessee to Phoenix, Arizona hasn't gone exactly as planned for Jimmy Wayne as he has had to battle brutal elements at times and even knee pain on his Meet Me Halfway campaign. Jimmy tells The Tennessean, "My goal was to walk there. It wasn't to walk there with a 50-pound bag every day." However, some help has been added to the journey in the form of an RV and follow car driven by Josh Lewis, who has a bachelor's degree in sports medicine. And that has come in handy for Wayne because Lewis has passed on some useful tips for long distance walking and Jimmy no longer has to carry his heavy backpack.
Also, Wayne, who had initially worried about being lonely on his walk, hasn't had to deal with that problem. He reveals, "Every single day someone is stopping to bring food and coffee." Jimmy recalls one particular instance. He shares, "In Arkansas, the St. Francis Co-op was one of the most amazing experiences; they just embraced this thing. One of the farmers said, 'Let me cook you up some Arkansas prime rib.' I said, 'That'd be nice.' Then he started cooking bologna, and I fell over I was laughing so hard." Who knew that the game of tag could be an international language?
Kellie Pickler made that discovery when she was in the Dominican Republic to shoot her latest video for "Didn't You Know How Much I Loved You." It seems her nine-year-old brother, Eric, was there and had been trying to talk with two other young boys. Kellie explains, "One was French, and the other was Spanish, and they could not understand a word each other was saying... I saw them tryin' to communicate, but there was that communication barrier there, and Eric finally just ran up to me, he’s like, 'Sissy, I want to play with them, but they can't understand me.' And I went, 'You'll figure out a way to communicate with them.'" Pickler was right and her little brother soon made friends with the other kids by playing tag. She explains, "They'd just take each other's hands and pull 'em in whatever direction they wanted to go... It was so beautiful. That just goes to show you that there should be nothing that separates us as human beings. There should never be a barrier. There should never be a wall there."
Gary Allan doesn't talk to the press much and when he does it isn't often about his personal life. But so close to Valentine's Day, The Tennessean couldn't help but dive into the subject of dating. Among Gary's revelations is that he's looking for a girl who is "smart, funny and fit." He finds Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to be a romantic destination and Nashville's Sambuca to be a romantic restaurant. Allan shares that his biggest date blunder was the time he flipped all his lobster butter on his date! He says his idea of a perfect date would be "dinner, a great concert, a fantastic hotel room with an incredible view and red wine mixed in throughout the night." He reveals his celebrity crush/dream date as actress Scarlett Johansson.
You know you've made the big time when Sesame Street makes a character just for you, so Carrie Underwood has something special to brag about. Carrie will appear on America's longest running children's television show as a specially created character known as "Carrie Underworm." Underwood recorded the song, "The Worm Anthem," specifically for the show. The episode in which "Carrie Underworm" performs is currently slated to air February 11, March 17, April 8, and April 26 on PBS.
Last month, Randy Houser joined a long list of country stars who’ve toured the Middle East with the USO, and if you thought that celebrities got soft treatment, he insists that’s not the case.
“There was a lot of stuff they left out of the brochure,” he told The San Antonio Express-News. “It was pretty scary, pretty dangerous. I thought we were going to a pretty safe area.”
Randy, Jamey and Kellie played remote bases on the front lines of the war zone, and the sound of gun fire became their frequent companion at night. It wasn’t what Randy had expected.
“It’ll change your life,” he said. “You’ll carry something home that you never had when you left to go over there. It’s gut-sucked-in, chest-poked-out patriotism. That’s what you carry home … They’re out there keeping us safe. The sound of war is something you’ll never forget.”
That includes the sound of war games.
“It was pretty amazing,” he said. “We got to shoot every gun you could possibly think of.”
Country stars learned years ago that the secret to a long-lasting career is diversification. Randy Travis, Dolly Parton, and Reba are actors. Trisha Yearwood is an author. Toby Keith is a restaurant owner. Even Tim McGraw has his own line of cologne.
Now Kenny Chesney is jumping in the mix with his clothing line, Blue Chair Bay. The laid-back, mid-priced collection includes khakis ($72.00), T-shirts ($35.00), and ball caps, all reminiscent of Chesney's own laid-back style. The items are meant to feel like "that favorite T-shirt that you've washed a lot that is kind of sun bleached... your favorite khakis, and your shirt that you've had forever," Chesney tells People magazine.
The line is currently sold at Fast Buck Freddies in Key West, Ocean Eddie's Resort Wear in Gulf Shores, Ala., and Levy's in Nashville, TN.
The Grammys are known as the music industry’s biggest night, but on Jan. 31, all country superstar Carrie Underwood seemed to be thinking of was her big day. When asked on the red carpet whether she and pro hockey player Mike Fisher, who got engaged in December, have set a date yet, Carrie excitedly replied, “Not officially; we’re kind of bouncing a few around.” She also reported that her mother and Mike’s mom had just met for the first time. “His parents live in Canada and mine live in Oklahoma,” she explained. “They got to hang out. I think they’re both very excited,” she said recently.
Consider the groom equally revved up. Days earlier, when talking to Life & Style via phone from his room at the Ritz-Carlton in Boston on Jan. 22, Mike shared three points he and Carrie have already agreed on. “It’s going to be a good size wedding with plenty of good food and an open bar,” he told Life & Style. “But nothing too overblown. It’s still in the planning stages, so a lot of the details haven’t been finalized.” He admitted that his fiancée would be handling most of the specifics. “As you might expect, Carrie’s involved in a lot of the details,” he said, adding with a laugh, “I’ll just be showing up.”
Carrie already has a clear idea of how she wants to look when she and Mike tie the knot. Her dream dress? “I want it to be pretty traditional,” she’s explained. “I think I want flowers on it — not real flowers. [The designer will] probably be someone I’ve worked with before.” Is someone already sewing away? “We can’t even think about her wedding yet,” Carrie’s stylist, Trish Townsend, told Life & Style on Feb. 1. “We just got through the Grammys. Next is the Super Bowl — she’s singing the national anthem.” Roberto de Villacis, who designed one of Carrie’s looks for the 2009 Country Music Awards and dressed the star for the video of her 2009 hit “Cowboy Casanova,” says he’d be thrilled to do the honors. “I love designing for Carrie,” De Villacis tells Life & Style. “Since meeting her, I’ve been thinking about her wedding dress. Carrie’s sweet, feminine, romantic. I’d propose a glamorous Southern-belle gown in French Chantilly lace with a floral pattern. She’s petite, so the best silhouette would be a long and lean flute.” For more details on Carrie’s dream wedding, pick up the new issue of Life & Style, on newsstands now!
